Pipe Jacking

KIAMM have successfully completed pipe jacks in various sizes, from 1200mm diameter up to 1800mm diameter, with distances of up to 90 metres.

Our methods range from hand-dug pipe jacks to mechanized excavating machines. Pipe jacks allow a concrete pipe to be pushed in behind a steel shield. Once the face of the shield has been sufficiently excavated, the pipe will be jacked up tight to the face where excavation will start again.

This method, which can be used to install all types of services, allows for minimal disturbance to the environment above the pipe jack.

All our pipe jacks have a laser guidance system to help our mining teams to complete the job to the utmost accuracy.
